Neurosupport is pleased to announce that, on 15th June 2011, we are hosting a themed afternoon of talks on the role of the brain in chronic pain—aimed at Health professionals and anyone with an interest in chronic pain.
The afternoon will include talks by:
- Professor Turo Nurmikko (Professor of Pain Science, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Liverpool)
- Paul Sacco (Research Fellow, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Liverpool)
- Kate MacIver (Research Fellow, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Liverpool)
- Case history (to be announced)
- Short film on the work of Professor Nurmikko and his colleagues.
Subjects covered will include:
- How the brain maintains chronic pain
- How neuromodulation can help pain
- Brain management of pain in everyday life
The afternoon will begin at Noon with lunch and the programme will commence at 1pm and finish at 3.30pm.
The cost of a place is £75.
